Shea
lives in the beautiful Province of British Columbia where my Native
Grandmother was born and raised. She is learning by doing, and has
created some lovely loom beading patterns, and pattern modifications.
She is doing what I hope you all will do, take the free beading
patterns on this site only as suggestions.
Shea
says she always redraws
the patterns on a grid to get to know the design, and to add her
personal touches
and colour changes. Visitors to the older site may recognize this
Running Horses pattern, which Shea has modified to be a continuous
pattern for the back of a jean jacket for her "guy" - he chose the
colours, Shea
added the extra horse. If you'd like a copy of Shea's design

Inspired
by Shea's work, I have played with Shea's design
modifications, and created a third version with ends to her design,
both ends with the black horse showing (first and last) that you can
use if you do a belt or something longer, that pattern is added here.
The
sunny orange pattern below is Shea's first original design, and her
first ever beading project - a hat band.
It was important to her to do her own design first. She
didn't
look
anything up, just drew a grid, grabbed her pencil crayons, and started
playing around. I think it is wonderful!! Thank you, Shea for sharing
your creative spirit with us.
