THe warm comfortable colors in this bead pattern make me think of my Native Grandma
I always feel closer to my ancestors when I am inspired by older pieces, even when they are not from my own Cultural Heritage. I apologize for having translated an organic, rounded shape beadwork into a squared off graphic type, but I just couldn't get rounded shapes right in such a small size loomed beadwork piece. I thought the colors and combinations are distinctive enough that it was worth doing, because not every beadworker has the talent or time to do appliqued work. I hope someone will find this worthy or beading up, and if you do, please consider sending me a photo, thanks!!
